Chapter 4Saving the Broken Hero

The driver took Caleb and me back to my villa.

Getting out, the driver opened the door for me.

Caleb stared, deep in thought.

I walked ahead, ignoring him completely.

Because I was hungry.

I sat at the dining table, Caleb standing silently aside.

"This doesn't taste good, you eat it."

I took one bite and put down the cutlery. Caleb didn't hesitate, devouring everything like a wolf.

His face looked less pale.

I directed the butler in formal attire.

Told him to teach Caleb how to be a servant and treat his wounds while he was at it.

After giving instructions, I went for my beauty sleep.

Caleb stared at my retreating back.

It was a long time before he looked away.

The next day, when I saw Caleb, he was wearing a suit.

He looked much better than yesterday.

He pulled out the chair for me.

"Miss, breakfast is ready."

The food today was much better than yesterday's.

I ate a few more bites and saw Caleb's brow relax.

So Caleb made this meal.

He had worked in a restaurant before.

"You're somewhat useful."

Caleb pursed his lips.

"I'm glad Miss likes it."

After eating, I took Caleb to afternoon tea.
