Story

The story

When Don Vincent Corleone is ambushed during a trade-off, he wakes remembering everyone but his own wife, Valenna. Before the famiglia he names Angela Mancini as his true Donna, and she seizes Valenna's place as the Corleones' precision machinist. Hidden in the machinery storage room, Valenna overhears the two of them: the amnesia is a lie, staged so Vincent can appease Angela.

At the next family meeting Vincent tears the obsidian ring from Valenna's hand and demands her blueprints before she leaves Neplas. The Capos wait for her to fight back. Instead she resigns and files for divorce, knowing she alone holds the assembly technology for the firearms the Corleones must deliver in seven days.

Vincent offers gold and seven days at the estate, certain she will return. Valenna is done with him and the Corleones.

Opening excerpt

Soon, Vincent makes an announcement in front of everyone that Angela Mancini is his actual Donna. That's how Angela takes over my position as the precision machinist in the family.

When I'm in the machinery storage room, I accidentally overhear Vincent and Angela flirting with each other.

"Since you've lent me the identity as the Donna for a week, does this mean I get to do whatever I want with your body during this period?"
