Chapter 3The Secret Husband’s Downfall

That piercing gaze followed me until I got into the backseat of the car before it finally disappeared.

I looked at the man beside me and thanked him: "Thank you, Arthur."

Arthur replied: "Don't mention it, senior. I was just watching the live stream and happened to be passing by."

I smiled faintly and didn't press further. He didn't ask many questions either, simply saying:

"Where are you heading now? I'll drop you off."

I gave him my home address.

We arrived quickly.

Before I got out of the car, Arthur took out his phone and waved it at me:

"Senior, let's exchange numbers."

I hesitated for a moment, and he let out a light laugh:

"You never know, I might need your help with something in the future."

Hearing this, I nodded and took out my phone: "Sure."

After adding each other's contacts, Arthur drove off.

I turned and walked into my house.

This house was bought by Liam and me before we got married. It wasn't very big, but it held all our memories.

Before, when we didn't have a packed schedule, we used to always cuddle in this house, playing video games and binge-watching TV shows.

After we got married, I didn't want to move to a new place.

But now, Liam rarely came back here.

As soon as I walked through the door, my manager's call came in.

"Jo, look at Twitter!"
