Story
The story
In a city ruled by werewolf packs, humans like Elaine Carter survive on the edges, keeping their heads down. She believes her boyfriend James is an ordinary werewolf, careful with money like her, and she is quietly pregnant with his child. Then a girl named Nina arrives to buy a used washing machine, and James is with her, revealed as the Alpha of the Silver Creek Pack.
James warns Elaine silent while Nina chatters about the apartment, the bracelet and the trips he has given her. After they leave, his calls go unanswered, and Nina's feed shows a life Elaine never knew. When James finally comes home, he calls her reaction an overreaction and defends Nina as young.
Nina follows him there, sees them together, and runs sobbing into the night, leaving Elaine to face what James truly is.
