Story

The story

After her father-in-law dies, Brenda pours his inheritance into Arthur, the married high school sweetheart she has pined for her whole life. When Arthur refuses to leave his wife unless she gives him a child, Brenda secretly swaps her own IVF embryo for the one belonging to her son David and his wife Jenna. Jenna carries the baby, gives birth, and is later accused of adultery when the infant's blood type does not match David's. Brenda smothers the child and frames Jenna, who takes her own life.

Jenna wakes on the day of the embryo transfer, her body still aching from the fall. This time she has the doctor swap the embryos back and hides the other vial. She keeps her job, demands the inheritance from David, and lets Brenda wait on her hand and foot while she quietly plans her revenge.

As David and Brenda cling to the unborn child as their last hope, Brenda promises that once the baby is born Jenna will not be able to cause any trouble at all.
