From Chores to Millions: Retaking My Throne

At the Annual Tech & Industry Summit, Vivian delivers a keynote titled "My Decade," and her slides turn on her husband, Leo. Photos of him in a stained apron frying fish and kneeling to scrub a toilet are shown as case studies in cutting dead weight, and the hall laughs. Sitting in the front row as the supportive spouse, Leo realizes the five years he gave to cooking, cleaning and raising their daughter Lily were never a partnership to her.

Back home, Vivian dismisses the slides as stage effect and tells him to grow up. Leo opens a dusty box of his past: coding championship medals and an old phone holding a five-year-old message from Cole Sterling, now billionaire founder of Apex Tech, who once promised him a place. Leo calls, and Cole, stuck on a security protocol loop, begs him to return.

Leo asks for the files instead, patches the leak in three nights between chores, and wakes to a five-million-dollar deposit. He has the money to buy back his own life, but the marriage is still standing in the way.
