Story
The story
Adeline has caught her husband Wayne in a hotel room with another woman for the third time. Simon Franklin, the Davis Group's lead counsel, invokes the prenuptial agreement: under its three-strikes infidelity clause, Wayne forfeits every asset and all custody rights to their daughter, Hazel. This time, Wayne signs without a word and asks for no visitation.
Adeline cannot understand his sudden compliance. For four years she and Hazel were his whole world, yet he accepts Simon's hovering control, his exile to a storage shed, and Hazel's cold accusation that he is a thief stealing from the Davis family.
What neither Adeline nor Simon suspects is that Wayne has stopped fighting a game he never chose to play.
