My Husband Poured His Mother-in-Law's Ashes into the Toilet

During a rainstorm, a husband abandons his mother on the highway to join his internet-famous lover's livestream. The mother suffers a heart attack and dies before reaching the hospital, her last call cut off because the lover was upset. His wife, Diana Smith, arrives feverish at the hospital, signs the death certificate, and brings the ashes home while the livestream plays on.

Jeff Hawking is on screen holding hands with Ida White, calling her his luckiest love, while strangers cheer them as a perfect match. Diana begs him to come see his mother off, but he accuses her of cursing his mother's death and turns cold with disgust. Ida and the viewers call Diana a forced wife and a third wheel.

Diana reveals the urn before the cameras, and Jeff's grief turns to rage as he seizes her throat. She remembers the mother-in-law who loved her like a daughter, and the husband who once promised her a home.
