He Abandoned Me and Ruined His Company Only for His Mistress

In Celestia, stock exchange tycoon Nolthen Eaton breaks off his engagement to Calista Aaldorp on the eve of their wedding, choosing his mentor's daughter, Kaitlyn Hill, and withdrawing his investment from her family. When her brother Chris Aaldorp confronts him, Nolthen has him arrested. He offers Calista a choice: accept Kaitlyn into their marriage, or marry the powerless sickly heir of the Rousselets. Calista appears to yield, but on the wedding day she rides off with the Rousselet family instead.

Desperate to save her family, Calista kneels in the rain before the Rousselet manor for three hours, offering five hundred arsenals abroad in exchange for marriage to Ron Rousselet, Nolthen's archenemy. The butler, Dimitri Turh, delivers the agreement. But Chris dies in detention, his body broken by torture, and Calista swears a blood oath at his grave.

Nolthen, blinded by his devotion to Kaitlyn, embezzles Eaton Corporation's funds to save the bankrupt Hill Group, unaware that Calista now holds the arsenal and intends to bury him with it.
