His Trial Bride, My Exit Plan

At her engagement party, Mia watches her adopted sister Flora joke about marrying Warren first, and Warren laughs along. When Mia offers Flora the wedding, Warren slips his ring onto Flora's finger and the guests applaud, so Mia calls a number she knows by heart and says the groom has bailed.

The voice on the line is Austin Anderson, who tells her to name her price and says she is his. Mia returns the heirloom taaffeite ring Warren discarded and walks out, while the crowd insists Austin must be an actor she hired. Austin collects her, drives her to the home meant for Warren, and watches her cut Warren out of their photo.

He books her the presidential suite and promises to come on the wedding day, when he arrives with a line of cars and tells Mia he is there to take her home. Backstage at the church, Flora and Warren corner her, demanding to see the groom.
