The Miami Promise

Chloe has worked alongside Ethan Bennett for years, ever since he showed her around their high school and then became her boyfriend. When he leaves on what he calls a business trip to New York, she waits for him as always, still holding on to the Miami trip he promised her five years ago.

Then a coworker shows her a photo: Ethan on a beach in Miami with Natalie Hayes, his childhood sweetheart. The post is hidden from Chloe, and Natalie's matching photos are not. When Ethan returns with extravagant gifts, Chloe says nothing, but she can no longer bear his touch.

At the office, Natalie and Ethan's friends turn on her, and the intimate photos Ethan swore no one would ever see are passed around and mocked. A pot of scalding tea changes hands, and Ethan walks in to find his phone in Chloe's grasp and his eight-year promise in ruins.
