The Men Who Abandoned Me Watched Me Marry a Mafia King

Gioia Marchetti has sealed an alliance pact with Don Marchetti, witnessed before the whole table, while the two men she was raised beside, Tommaso Bellini and Geffri Lombardi, know nothing of it. They are too busy fussing over Lizetta Conti, the woman who supposedly saved her life, even buying her a Ragdoll cat though cat fur can put Gioia in the ground.

Freshly discharged from the safehouse infirmary, Gioia collapses at home and lands back under a doctor's care. Tommaso and Geffri refuse to believe Lizetta staged the rescue, and at Lizetta's birthday party, where Gioia's own gifts have found a new owner, they press a whole blister pack of allergy medicine into her hands and accuse her of faking her hospital stay.

As the two men brawl over Lizetta, Gioia understands how little she matters to them, and the witnessing of her union draws near.
