He Proposed to the Fake Heiress , But I Was Never the Real One Either

For three years, Sybilla Sawyer has been mistaken for Doreen Winfield, the real daughter of the Winfield family, because she happens to look like her. Solomon Simmons pays her two hundred thousand dollars a month to keep up the charade and leave Althea Winfield alone. When Solomon proposes to Althea in front of a crowd, Sybilla finally sees her chance to walk away from the family that never believed her.

But when she insists she is not Doreen and demands a DNA test, no one listens. Althea bursts into tears and flees, and the Winfields lock Sybilla in the attic for three days without food or water. Starving and abandoned, she is stunned when Althea slips her bread and offers to help her escape, on one condition: she must never return.

Sybilla swears it and leaves with Althea, who drives her to a hotel. But when she opens the door, she realizes she is not alone in the room.
