He Gave Our Love Token to His Childhood Sweetheart, So I Called Off the Wedding

On her wedding day, Cassandra Mercer watches her groom, Jonathan Dickerson, hand the one-of-a-kind love token he had prepared for her straight to Marianne Pruitt, the childhood friend he grew up with in an orphanage. When Cassie protests, he calls her unreasonable and warns her not to make a scene in front of their families.

Marianne then takes the front seat of the wedding car, leaving Cassie to ride in the cramped back in her heavy gown, while Jonathan laughs beside Marianne and passersby wonder who the real bride is. Cassie's best friend Karen fumes, but Cassie quietly messages the wedding planner to cancel the ceremony and swap the slideshow photos.

At the hotel, Marianne barges into the suite and smears dark red lipstick over Cassie's bridal makeup. Cassie only smiles, certain the look suits the revenge she is about to stage.
