Cheated By My Husband, Desired By a CEO

At twenty, Eleanor brings an old marriage contract to the Middleton Family and marries Alaric. On their wedding night he confesses he was born flawed and cannot please her that way, and she takes him into her arms. For three years he is the perfect, gentle husband, until she finds another woman's black lace underwear under his car seat. He blames his new secretary, Ruby, claiming she can cure him, and Eleanor grits her teeth and allows their so-called treatment.

Then she overhears Alaric in a baby store, mocking her as too dumb to notice and swearing she will never have his child. At home his mother Leah presses her for a grandchild, and Ruby, now pregnant, is treated as a precious jewel. When Ruby shrieks that Eleanor tried to kill her baby, Alaric shoves her into a table, and Leah slaps her.

Hospitalized and ignored, Eleanor watches Ruby flaunt Alaric's gifts. She dials a number and asks if an old offer to have a child with her still stands.
