True Love? True Murderer?

Clifford Holmes, a lawyer, coaches Marie Harding to deny that she wrongly administered an IV and to insist her patient died of a heart attack, then has the body cremated at once. Marie walks free, and Clifford celebrates with her, bringing her into the home he once shared with his wife.

What he does not know is that the patient was his own wife, Holly Lewis, who died carrying his child. Her soul lingers beside him as he comforts Marie, turns her photo face down, and refuses to speak her name. When Holly's friend George Rackman arrives to say she is dead, Clifford scoffs that she is faking it and demands she come home by three o'clock.

As the deadline passes and Holly's phone goes dead, Clifford begins to search the house for her, while George warns him that he and Marie had better have had nothing to do with her death.
