The horror game I've played for seven years is shutting down.

For seven years, Kira has poured herself into a horror game, refusing a $100,000 offer for her account. Her roommates Blair and Chloe call her insane, and her family mocks her for treasuring the characters who carried her through her darkest days. When the game shuts down, she mourns the world she loved, especially the boss Damian, whom she never got to see one last time.

Then the impossible happens: the game merges with reality, and its monsters begin slaughtering humans. When a familiar boss corners Kira and her roommates, Blair shoves her forward as a sacrifice. But Kira has spent seven years learning these monsters, and survival may depend on the bonds she formed inside a world everyone else dismissed as mere code.

As the broadcast warns that death is inevitable, Kira must face the monsters she once called family.
