I was Reborn As the Daughter of My Husband and His Mistress

A woman dies in a car accident and wakes in the body of a child. The man holding her is her own husband, Eric, who calls her Ella and welcomes her as his daughter. The woman glaring at her is Grace, his mistress, and the child is the daughter they share. Trapped in this small body, she must smile and call Eric "Daddy" while hiding the cold fury behind her eyes.

Eric shows no grief for his dead wife. He tells Grace to wait before marrying her, and he and his mother speak of loose ends and of informing the dead wife's mother at the funeral. At that funeral, her mother and brother shed false tears, then demand an explanation until Eric hands over ten thousand dollars to silence them.

At night she searches the study and finds car newspapers, books, and an insurance policy naming her as the insured and Eric as the beneficiary. She photographs everything, certain now that her death was no accident, and that the man she once trusted planned it all.
