He Never Let Her Go, So I Pulled My Millions

Three days before her wedding, Georgia Fletcher learns that Blake Gilbert is postponing it so the hotel venue can host the promotion party of Muriel Pruitt, the ex-girlfriend he has always claimed to despise. When Georgia confronts him at his office, she finds Muriel there holding the couple's mug, and Blake offers only excuses, insisting the wedding is merely delayed. She slips off her ring, throws the mug away and walks out.

Later that night, doubled over in pain, Georgia calls Blake for help. He says he cannot get away and sends a courier with ibuprofen and a note instead. On Muriel's feed she sees a photo of the scarred hand he broke years ago racing her to the hospital, the debt she once vowed to repay.

With the invitations cancelled and a ticket home booked, Georgia decides the heart she threw herself at is one she will no longer chase.
