The Heart That Waited

A doctor named Wesker is racing against time to deliver a donated heart to a boy in bed 18, who has waited half a year for the transplant. When the ambulance blows a tire on the highway, driver Bob switches to a sealed minibus. At the toll station, Bob whispers to the toll collector, who orders the box opened for inspection. Bob then accuses Wesker of murder, claiming the heart is evidence of her crime.

Wesker insists she is a doctor from City Central Hospital and that the heart was donated, but the paperwork is still being processed. Bob produces a blurry video and a mismatched serial number, and the toll collector detains her. With only minutes before the heart fails, the department director calls, pleading for its release, but Bob blocks every attempt.

As sirens approach and thirteen minutes remain, a message from the director arrives, leaving Wesker's last hope hanging.
