Story

The story

For 520 days, Blaire Aldridge believed Henry Kline would propose. Instead, he asked her to donate her cornea to his mother, promising marriage and to be her eyes forever. Blaire agreed for love, and woke from surgery to darkness and silence.

Through a door, she heard Henry's friends laugh: her cornea was thrown into a fish tank, and Henry had planned every accident that broke her arm and leg, all to avenge Vivian Kennedy. Then a surgeon, Julian Young, the student she once helped, reveals he never touched her eyes; he blinded her only temporarily and gave Henry useless plastic. He offers to take her abroad, but Blaire must finish her play, The Sapphire Blade, premiering June 20th, so she hides her sight from Henry and waits.
