Story

The story

On Mother's Day, a roadside event offers to exchange love for items. When her younger brother Justin demands an ice cream, their mother agrees to trade away her daughter's love for it, dismissing it as useless. The daughter signs, and the transaction cannot be reversed.

In a studio, memories are extracted and judged by live voting, while Justin urges their mother on, eager for fame. The broadcast plays fragments of the daughter's childhood, and strangers debate whether a mother could truly trade her child's love.

As the votes tilt and the memories unfold, the daughter must face what her mother's choice reveals about the love she has always craved.

Opening excerpt

On Mother's Day, there was an "Exchange Love for Items" event on the roadside. My younger brother was clamoring to exchange for an ice cream.

I wanted to take him to the nearby supermarket to buy one.

But Mom stopped me: "Why waste that money? Just exchange your love for it, wouldn't that be better?"

I couldn't believe it and confirmed again: "My love for you?"
