My Husband In The Mirror!

Lily suspects the man living in her house is not her husband. Ethan, once left-handed, now uses his right hand, and the butterfly-shaped birthmark on his right thigh has vanished. On the balcony, the morning light casts two shadows behind him, though his heartbeat against her ear stays strong and steady.

Then a breaking news bulletin identifies a male body recovered from Swan Lake as Ethan. The man in her kitchen greets her warmly, and when she points a chef's knife at him, he calmly notes the victim was thirty-five while he is twenty-eight. His answers to every test she sets are flawless, yet he cooks like a professional, though Ethan never knew how to cook.

By morning the study door is locked, its lock replaced, and the blackout curtains are drawn. When a locksmith sees the cylinder, the dispatcher hesitates: it is a Grade 1 high-security smart lock, and their only certified technician is at a bank vault.
