Story

The story

Harriet Lynn is a struggling actress, and her husband Evan Coleman is a poor PhD student. Her parents disapprove of the match, but the couple marry anyway, happy and in love. Then one night a phone call from an unfamiliar name pulls Harriet away from dinner, and she is never seen alive again.

Harriet is drugged, violated and driven to take her own life. Grief turns Evan away from his studies and toward a single purpose: to find whoever arranged her death and make them pay. He enters the entertainment industry, and the money he sends his sister-in-law Erin grows along with his fame.

Years later, Evan is a national star, and the name on Harriet's phone that night now belongs to a rising actress named Lydia Gibson. Erin watches the man who swore revenge share a stage with the woman she cannot forget.

Opening excerpt

For My Sister, He Tore Through the Entertainment Industry

My sister was a little-known actress in the show business, someone who barely made it onto the C-list.

But one night, she was drugged by a fellow actress and delivered into the hands of some lowlifes.

Unable to bear the humiliation, she chose to end her own life.

That day, my brother-in-law lost his mind.

Not long after, he became a superstar, an actor famous across the country. One day, he appeared on a show with the very woman responsible for my sister’s death.

The host asked, “Coleman, what’s your biggest regret?”
