Story

The story

Polly Sullivan, a final-year college student, arrives late for her graduation physical exam and finds the clinic empty except for a young male doctor, Nicholas Johnson. He orders her to undress, and though she asks for a female doctor, he warns that refusing will be noted on her medical report, which could affect her internship. Reluctantly, she complies.

What begins as a routine check grows increasingly invasive. Nicholas claims he has found a problem and insists on further examinations, restraining her on the table despite her protests that the procedure is unnecessary for unmarried women. She begs him to stop, but he refuses, telling her she must endure it.

Trapped and unable to see what he is doing, Polly can only plead as the examination continues.

Opening excerpt

"Doctor, have you finished the examination? I can't hold on any longer," I say as I lie on the examination table in the college clinic.

A screen completely blocks my view.

The examination instrument pokes a few inches deeper into me. I try my best to suppress it, but a whimper escapes me.

"No!"

The doctor remains silent and merely adjusts the machine so that my legs are lifted higher.

My name was Polly Sullivan, and I was a final-year college student who was about to graduate.

The college had arranged for all graduating students to have a physical exam.
