Story
The story
Kathy Holman drugs Chester Miles at a banquet, hoping to marry into the powerful Miles Family. But the scheme goes wrong: Kathy is dragged away by bodyguards, while Chester, aware the drink was spiked, turns on Sarah.
Sarah escapes before dawn and returns home, where her parents care only about Kathy's prospects. When Kathy limps in, bruised and unaware of who she truly spent the night with, she blames Sarah, and her mother slaps her while her father hurls an ashtray that bloodies her forehead. Kathy boasts that once she bears a child and marries into the Miles Family, Sarah will beg at her feet.
Sarah, who makes her own living, refuses to be their pawn. This time she will not stand in her sister's way, and she is watching to see how far Kathy's scheming will take her.
