Story

The story

Ethan Miller has spent five years as the devoted, forgiving husband of Chloe Vance, a spoiled rich girl he chased for three years before she finally agreed to marry him. When his younger brother Daniel is in a horrific car accident and needs emergency surgery, Ethan, stuck abroad on business, begs Chloe to go to the hospital and sign the consent forms. She promises. Then she books a flight out of the country with her newly purchased humanoid robot, Leo, and turns her phone off.

By the time Ethan rushes back, Daniel is dead. Days later, Chloe posts a Snapchat Story from a hotel room with Leo, both barely dressed. Ethan likes the story, then sends her a divorce text and studies the robot's manual, finding its self-destruct system. When Chloe finally calls, she blames him for Daniel's death and defends Leo, insisting the robot understands her heart.

Now Chloe wants dinner with her mother and a return to the way things were, with Ethan obedient and silent. But Ethan has stopped being a doormat, and he is only beginning to settle the score.
