My Alpha Chose Another Woman as I Miscarried, Now He Won't Let Me Go

I thought telling my mate I was pregnant would save our marriage.

Instead, I lost our baby while he ran to his ex-girlfriend.

Aiden Carlisle was everything a woman was supposed to want-the powerful Alpha of the wealthy Carlisle Pack, a Hollywood A-list star, and the fated mate chosen for me by the Moon Goddess.

And on our first wedding anniversary, I still loved him enough to believe our unborn child might bring us closer again.

Then his ex, Blanche, called.

One flat tire. A few tears.

That was all it took for my husband to leave me behind and rush to her side.

I chased after him, fell down the stairs, and felt blood spreading beneath me.

Through our sacred mind-link, I begged him,

"Aiden, save me... save our baby..."

He severed the connection.

"Stop being so dramatic, Kira."

By the time someone found me, our eight-week-old baby was gone.

But even an official diagnosis from the Pack Healer wasn't enough to make Aiden believe me.

Instead, he accused me of staging the miscarriage just to manipulate him.

Then I learned the truth.

He had secretly been taking an herbal contraceptive because he never wanted a child with me.

To him, our baby wasn't a tragedy.

It was a burden that should never have existed.

Something inside me died that day.

So I stopped begging.

I stopped waiting.

And I rejected him.

"I, Kira Hayes, reject you, Aiden Carlisle, as my mate."

I thought that would finally set me free.

I was wrong.

Aiden refused to accept my rejection.

The man who couldn't even turn back while I was bleeding on the floor suddenly decided he would never let me leave.

"You are still my mate, Kira."

"And as long as I don't accept your rejection, you're not going anywhere."
