Rejecting His Omega Was Easy, Losing Her Destroyed the Alpha King

For seven years, Elara loved Alpha King Rowan with a loyalty no one ever noticed. She healed his warriors, carried his burdens in silence, and believed the Moon Goddess had blessed them as fated mates. But on the Night of the Crimson Moon, Rowan shattered that destiny by crowning another woman as his future Luna before the entire Moon Court.

With her heart breaking and her wolf crying in agony, Elara removed their sacred mate bracelet, laid it at his feet, and walked away without shedding a single tear.

Then she erased her name from every pack record, disappeared beyond the Forbidden Mountains, awakened the forgotten Silver Moon Bloodline, and left behind a secret that would one day decide the fate of every werewolf kingdom.

The day she vanished, Alpha King Rowan's empire began to crumble. His allies turned against him, his kingdom fell into chaos, and even his wolf refused to recognize another mate. All the search parties found was the scent of blood beneath the northern cliffs, and the entire realm believed Elara had died.

Three years later, at the Royal Moon Summit, Rowan saw the impossible. The broken Omega he had abandoned now stood beside the Lycan Emperor as the most powerful Luna in the world. When he reached for her and begged for one last chance, Elara met his gaze with a calm smile and whispered,

"You didn't lose your mate the day I left. You lost her the moment you chose someone else."
