He Gambled Away Our Baby

When Liam takes Melody to her prenatal checkup, he suddenly pushes her into an abortion room. He lost a game of Truth or Dare, and the stakes were the baby. He insists he cannot back out of a bet, and that they can always have another child. Melody is stunned; this is already her third pregnancy with him, and the doctor has warned that this child may be the last she can ever carry.

Liam leaves for a drinking engagement, telling her she knows the drill. The doctor warns that her uterine wall is as thin as paper, but Melody signs the waiver and endures the procedure alone, permanently losing the ability to conceive. At home, she finds Liam and his friends playing Truth or Dare, with Lily gloating over her flat belly. When Lily's cruel dare exposes a secret from Melody's past, Melody slaps her, and Liam strikes her in return, humiliating her before everyone.
