Escaping from the Wrong Marriage

On a typhoon day, Jennifer's husband Jack Price asks her mother Elysia to bring seafood soup to his company. On the way back, Elysia is in a car accident and dies, still thinking of Jack, unaware that he is allergic to seafood. That night Jennifer sees Jack's mistress Christina Walker's post praising the soup Jack made — the soup Elysia cooked. Jennifer buries Elysia without telling Jack.

Three days later Jack returns home and demands food. Jennifer sets the spoiled soup before him, then asks for a divorce. Jack calls it a trifle and leaves to care for Christina. When Jennifer is about to take Elysia's urn to the cemetery, Jack arrives with Christina and three bodyguards, accusing the dead Elysia of stealing a company document.

Jennifer tells him her mother is dead, but Jack and Christina mock her as a liar and refuse to let her leave until the document is handed over. Her love for Jack is gone, leaving only grief.
