After I gave birth to quadruplets for the CEO, my ex-husband went crazy

Born with a crimson mark between her brows, Elara used its power to save Marcus Thorne, the frail heir of the Thorne family, and married him to repay Eleanor Thorne's kindness. He recovered, became the city's top business magnate, and called her his destined one. But in their third year of marriage, he becomes obsessed with a college student, Lila Monroe, who wears a painted crimson dot between her brows, and brings her home once she is pregnant.

When Elara confronts him, Marcus tells her he wants a child and that she owes him this. She does not cry or make a scene, because she knows the power of her crimson mark can no longer contain his fate, and that once the fetus fully forms, his destiny will violently turn against him. Reporters swarm her at the hospital, and she tumbles down the stairs.

Waking days later, she finds her sanctuary emptied for Lila Monroe and her handwritten blessings thrown away. Then a call comes from Brenda Miller: her grandmother is unwell, and Elara must ask Marcus for help.
