Story

The story

After three years of marriage and two years of IVF, Lily is eight months pregnant when she overhears her husband Joe telling his best friend Zack the truth: he fed her contraceptive pills for three years, made her believe she was infertile, and used IVF to implant Lindsay's eggs in her body. He wanted Lindsay to avoid the pain and disfigurement of childbirth.

Lily calls the hospital to book an abortion, but returns home to find the door code changed to Lindsay's birthday and Lindsay living in her house. Joe drugs her milk, and she wakes to discover video of him and Lindsay photographing her naked body and sharing the pictures in a group chat with Zack and his friends. Swallowing the doctor's medicine, she hides her plan behind a calm face as Joe announces a birthday party for Lindsay at home that night.

After three years of marriage, I still couldn’t get pregnant. Under my husband’s persuasion, I finally got pregnant after two years of IVF. When I was eight months pregnant, I overheard a conversation between Joe and his best friend, Zack.

“You deliberately fed Lily contraceptive pills for three years, just to make her feel that she was infertile and then took the opportunity to force her to do IVF, just to transplant Lindsay’s eggs into her body. Your trick is too cruel!”
