The Luna He Failed to Protect

Selene is the adopted daughter of the Blackwood Pack, and the year she completes her first shift she falls in love with her foster brother, the Alpha General Damien Blackwood. She hides the feeling, but someone exposes it to the whole pack, and she is branded a shameless Omega. Her Alpha Father declares she has disgraced the Blackwood name, and Damien, once gentle, turns cold overnight. He hands her to Rowan, a Beta officer of the Border War Pack, to be taught obedience under Alpha Law.

Three years later, Damien finally sends attendants from Blackwood Citadel to bring her home for his mother's Moon Blessing Banquet. By then Selene cleans blood-soaked armor in the freezing border camp, whipped and mocked by Rowan, used by the warriors whenever they please, and warned to stay silent about all of it. When Damien lifts her chin and sees how thin and scarred she has become, shock and pity cross his face, and she can only kneel and beg him to spare her life.
