She Betrayed Me With Her Assistant—Now She's Begging on Her Knees

Derek Gilbert's marriage collapses in a single evening. His wife, Zoe Whitney, brings her assistant Jonathan Perry home to shower, lets him smoke in their bedroom and use her bath towel, then orders Derek to fetch a trash can for the ashes. When Derek objects, Zoe's cold dismissal makes clear he ranks below her assistant. He tells her he wants a divorce and walks out.

The next day Derek returns to Whitney Corp with a divorce agreement leaving with nothing. Jonathan rips it up and accuses Derek of cheating, producing photos of him entering a hotel with a woman. Zoe fires him on the spot, and when Jonathan slaps him, Derek punches back. As security moves in, he walks out past jeering employees—straight into Miles Hansen of Hansen Group, the company's biggest client, who greets him warmly as Mr. Gilbert.
