Early the next morning, the phone rang, waking me up.
It was the college boy.
I hung up in a panic.
"Who was that?"
Startled, I turned to look at Adrian.
He was in a black suit, tall and slender. Behind gold-rimmed glasses, his peach blossom eyes were lazy yet sharp—full "refined scum" vibes.
I lied: "Spam call."
Adrian frowned.
The comments scrolled.
[Oh no, male lead's darkness level is rising.] [Better flirt a little to survive.]
I grabbed Adrian's tie, forcing him to bend down to eye level, and stared straight at him.
"What? You think another man called?"
"Jealous?"
A blush crept up Adrian's ears, and his breathing grew heavy.
He looked down, avoiding my gaze, voice icy:
"Ha, only you could come up with such a clumsy seduction."
Despite his words, he let me pull his tie like a leash.
I traced circles on his chest with my fingertip, feigning frustration.
"Oh well, I'm definitely not as smart as you.
"So, Adrian.
"Do you like clumsy seductions or not?"
Adrian froze.
He was silent for a moment, but seeing my expectant gaze, he rasped:
"I like it."
The comments went wild.
[What has she turned the male lead into?] [Suddenly reminded of a fitting line: As long as I can stay by the young miss's side, I'll do anything, even be her dog.] [Forget the male lead, I'm falling for the side character. Who doesn't love a beautiful, flirtatious bad girl?]
I leaned in close, millimeters from his lips, teasing him.
Adrian's Adam's apple bobbed, his heartbeat audible.
Just as he closed his eyes, I held up my phone: "Adrian, it's 8:30."
Implying he needed to go to work.
Adrian laughed angrily, desire still burning in his eyes.
"Playing me?"
I shrugged nonchalantly: "Not the first time."
Adrian adjusted his tie.
"I'll be back at six. You can play however you want then."
The comments were full of innuendo.
[Is this "play" innocent? Sounds dirty to me.] [But the male lead's fingers are so long, I feel like she won't be able to handle tonight.] [Who said long fingers are bad? They're amazing.]
