I Came Back Without Memories, They Came Back with Regrets

Summer Reid's family locks her in a pitch-black room to keep her adopted sister Ashley happy. Her parents and her brother Liam have done it hundreds of times, and each time they tell her she must be more considerate of Ashley's feelings. After three days shut away without food or water, Summer is finally let out, but she stares at the people before her and asks who they are. Her memory is gone.

The light outside burns her skin, and every word about her sister sends needles through her skull. Liam drags her from the corner, slaps her, and orders the door locked again with no food or water. Only Melinda Cole, a maid, slips in with medicine and oatmeal, and even she is stunned that Summer no longer knows her.

Summer cannot recall her past, but her body remembers the pain. What kind of family was she born into, and what will they do now that she cannot remember them at all?
