Discovering My Love Too Late

Sonya Foley races into the mountains to rescue her boyfriend, Austin Miller, only to fall from a cliff and wake in a hospital ward. There she overhears his friends laughing: her desperate search was the ninety-ninth cruel trick they have played on her. Austin, once the youngest tech tycoon in Kondale, has been punishing her for abandoning him years ago. He is already engaged to Dion Carpenter, and the two visit her ward together while she pretends to sleep.

Fleeing the hospital, Sonya calls her daughter, Callie, and her mother, who urges her to seek treatment abroad for her heart condition. Austin catches her on the street and takes her to a rehabilitation center, where Callie suddenly appears and punches his leg. Staring at the child's face, so like his own, Austin demands to know the truth about the past. Sonya asks whether he still loves her, but before he can answer, a nurse leads her inside for treatment.
