Nora Julian is trapped in a sewer, dying, while her husband Charlie Hector spends the night with his childhood sweetheart Yasmin Luke. She calls him for help, but he dismisses her as a troublemaker. Later, as a professor of criminal psychology, Charlie is invited to the police station to analyze the corpse of a woman tortured and dismembered. He coldly examines the body, unaware it is his own wife. Coroner Zander and Captain Kyle Griffin work the case, but no one identifies the victim. Meanwhile, Charlie's colleague Ashley Dean reports Nora missing, and Charlie insists it's impossible. As the investigation unfolds, Charlie remains oblivious to the truth, while Nora's ghost watches, betrayed and heartbroken.
