Story

The story

At a World Consumer Rights Day summit, Frederick Larkin is seated with the cafeteria lady while his wife, Willa Baker, arrives arm-in-arm with her assistant, Jacob Walker. When Jacob sneers that Frederick is a useless freeloader, Willa publicly declares she is ashamed to be seen with him and that he is nothing more than a pet the Bakers keep around.

Frederick, in truth the behind-the-scenes force behind Baker Group, warns that without him the company will go bankrupt in ten minutes. The business elites of Stormford mock him as a kept man, and Jacob announces that Willa intends to divorce him.

Willa confirms she has long wanted the divorce, delayed only by her father's pressure. Frederick must now decide how far he will let the Bakers fall.
