Story

The story

Zoey has known Caleb for eighteen years, and everyone assumed they would marry after graduation. But when Mia "Sweetie" Miller appears, Caleb skips classes and fails exams for her, and Mia treats Zoey as a rival, even sending her a screenshot of a kiss at the top of a Ferris wheel. Caleb insists he and Mia are just friends.

What Caleb does not know is that Zoey is hiding someone in her wardrobe: Julian, her father's favourite student, now a successful entrepreneur, who proposed their secret arrangement himself. When Caleb barges in, Julian hides like a lover caught by a husband, and his jealousy grows as Zoey bargains with Caleb for a month without intrusion.

Zoey wants Julian, and Julian wants to know why he must stay hidden.

Opening excerpt

I went to my childhood friend's room to give him fruit, but he yelled at me:

"Can you stop just barging into my room? We aren't kids anymore."

He wasn't wearing headphones. His junior, a girl with a sickeningly sweet voice, was on speakerphone, deliberately provoking me:

"Caleb, let's fall asleep on a voice call tonight too."

I casually agreed and told him not to come into my room anymore either.

He sneered:

"Who cares?"

I thought so too.

I went back to my room and happily opened my wardrobe:

"You don't have to hide in here next time. He won't come into my room again."
