Chapter 2My Girlfriend Went Crazy After I Neutered the Dog

Soon, I had a delicious, fragrant plate of slow-cooked ribs ready. I dished some into a dog bowl, then prepared a plate for myself.

While Mochi wasn't looking, I added a sleeping pill to my own plate.

Sure enough, seeing me about to eat, Mochi came trotting over, tail wagging, practically prancing.

But he didn't even glance at his own dog bowl. He went straight for my plate.

"Get lost!"

Despite my angry shout, Mochi just moved faster. And in three quick gulps, he'd devoured most of the food right out of my plate.

Finally, he didn’t forget to kick my plate onto the floor with a paw, then flashed me a disgustingly smug grin.

But when he saw the chilling smile on my face, Mochi instantly panicked.

He frantically rushed to his water bowl, desperate to drink, but I had already poured out all the water.

And the only other place to get water, the bathroom, was locked.

Mochi snarled and barked furiously at me, as if demanding to know what I had fed him.

Ignoring his furious gaze, I slowly pulled out my phone and dialed the vet.

"Hello, I'd like to book a surgery. I'll bring my dog in for a neuter in about an hour."

Hearing the word "neuter," Mochi trembled with rage. He barked wildly and lunged at me.

But he was just a small dog. Before he could bite me, I kicked him far across the room.

Last time, if I hadn't been so careless, I wouldn't have been bitten.

Kicked by my foot, Mochi instantly lost his temper.

He cowered on the floor, making pleading gestures, trying to make me spare him.

But in his eyes, I saw only hatred.

I gave a cold laugh.

"Since you're my dog now, you have to be neutered."

"It's for your own good."

Seeing that begging was useless, Mochi immediately tried to bite me again, but the drugs had already started to take effect.

He stumbled and collapsed to the floor.

I was about to pick him up and take him for the neutering when the doorbell rang.

Could Scarlett be back already?

A wave of anxiety washed over me as I opened the door. But the moment the door swung open, I froze.
