My Neighbor Said I Peeped, So I Showed the Village the Footage

On his first day back in his hometown, a painter named Corey Floyd refuses to lend his cat Tiger to the woman next door, Stella Pruitt. In his last life he said yes, and she tore her own blouse, screamed that he had assaulted her, and let the village beat him until his hands and feet were crushed and he could never paint again. His cat was drowned, and Stella later sold his canvases as her own.

Now reborn, Corey turns her away cold, and the neighbors, led by Aunt Marlene, turn on him. When Stella grabs Tiger and is scratched, she claims to be the victim. That night a mob storms his home, smashes his belongings, steals his things, and destroys the camera meant to prove his innocence.

As they move to tie him up and drag him to Stella's door, Corey realizes Tiger has vanished from the house.
