The Godfather Begged for the Bride He Forgot

At her final bridal fitting, Fiona watches her sister Daphne straighten the bow tie of her fiancé, Nolan Hayes, the mafia Don feared throughout Boston's underworld. The makeup artist greets Daphne as the bride, and Nolan does not correct her. Miles, Fiona's childhood friend, photographs the pair, and not one shot is of Fiona. When Daphne orders her to bring the bouquet, Fiona finally understands how unnecessary she is.

She leaves the boutique, dismisses her escort detail, and drives to the apartment she has rented for four years. In the wedding group chat, Daphne changes the song Fiona chose, the one her late parents played at their wedding, and Nolan agrees. No one notices Fiona's silence. Every decision is made for her, and every objection ends with the same line: she is more mature, so she should understand.

Then Nolan and Daphne walk into her apartment, laughing, discussing Daphne's plan to stay at the Hayes estate after the wedding. Fiona stands in the living room, certain she has heard her wrong.
