When the Heiress Reclaimed Her Crown

Jenna Rivers has spent five years married to Liam, the city's top gynecologist, as part of a private bet with her family: win, and she keeps him; lose, and she returns to the Rivers family and its fortune. But Liam vanishes for three days and nights to care for Sophie, his secretary, while Jenna hemorrhages in childbirth, and intimate photos of the pair spread across the city.

When both women are taken hostage in a remote warehouse, Liam begs the kidnappers to spare Sophie and tells Jenna to hold on because she is strong. Back home, he keeps choosing Sophie—abandoning Jenna on their anniversary, during a fever, even skipping her mother's funeral. Searching for divorce information, Jenna finds a hidden folder of thousands of photos of Sophie, and later finds the two of them together in her own marriage bed.

After Liam shoves her into a car to donate blood for Sophie and a crash leaves her bleeding, Jenna finally calls her father: she has lost the bet and wants to leave the country. He gives her seven days.
