The living room didn't look empty at all. It looked like it had been hijacked.

The coffee table was piled high with takeout boxes, empty chips bags, and half-empty wine bottles.

A few designer dresses and underwear were tossed over the sofa. The expensive rug was stained with red wine and cigarette burns.

Seeing this, my fists clenched so hard my knuckles turned white.

I had bought this villa specifically for my mother’s vacations. I had spent so much time and effort designing and furnishing it.

I always kept it in pristine condition. Now, this trash of a human had ruined it.

Chloe stood in front of me, looking down her nose.

"You bitch. Seducing my boyfriend wasn't enough? Now you're bringing your decrepit mother to occupy his house?"

"How dare an old hag like her step foot in my boyfriend’s villa!"

I stared at her, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "Who told you this is Ryan's villa?"

Chloe scoffed.

"He did, obviously."

"You shameless slut. You saw that my boyfriend is the owner of the club, so you tried everything to seduce him, didn't you?"

"Clinging to him at the club wasn't enough, so you brought your mother to his house to force your way in?"

"Let me tell you, Ryan said he only let you work at the club out of pity! He would never be interested in a cheap girl like you. You think you can use your body to climb the ladder? In your dreams!"

So Ryan had been telling her all of this.

No wonder Chloe had treated me like garbage before.

In her mind, Ryan was a wealthy CEO who drove hypercars and owned mansions.

And I was just a desperate girl trying to sleep with her boyfriend to get a piece of his wealth.

She thought I was stalking him, trying to take her place.

How utterly pathetic.

Chloe got louder and more hysterical. Her shrieks echoed through the villa. "You shameless home-wrecking bitch! You tried to steal my man, and now you’re bringing your mother to my doorstep? You think you can move in? Keep dreaming!"

Her screaming was so loud it caught the attention of people outside.

Footsteps hurried toward the house. Two neighborhood security guards ran in, followed by a few neighbors who had been woken up by the noise.

A guard poked his head in, frowning. "What's going on here?"

Seeing an audience, Chloe instantly switched to victim mode. She pointed at me and cried to the guards and neighbors, "Thank god you're here! This home-wrecker is trying to steal my boyfriend, and now she brought her mother to attack me in my own home! Please help me!"

The guards and neighbors looked at me, then at the messy living room. Disgust filled their eyes.

A neighbor curled her lip. "Gosh, young girls these days have no shame."

Another shook her head. "Unbelievable. The actual girlfriend lives here, and this girl brings her mother to cause a scene. How trashy."

The guard frowned at me. "Ma'am, you need to leave immediately, or we will call the police."

With the crowd backing her, Chloe’s confidence soared. She reached out and grabbed my collar. "Did you hear that? Even the guards and neighbors know you’re a shameless bitch!"

Suddenly, her eyes locked onto my mother’s chest. Her eyes lit up.

"This sapphire brooch looks expensive. You stole this too, didn't you?"

Before I could react, she let go of my collar, lunged at my mother, and violently ripped the brooch off her dress.

Chloe’s movement was so sudden and violent that my mother couldn't defend herself. The brooch was snatched away instantly.

Seeing this, my heart stopped. "Give that back!"
