The Moon of Those Days Never Came Back

Abandoned at Mount Gravenwood for a month, Lumina Shields is found emaciated, her legs broken from a fall. Floyd Stuart greets her not with relief but with fury, blaming her for the rescue team's sleepless days and postponing their wedding by a year. Tracie Ryan, whose injured leg Floyd cannot stop fussing over, gently pleads Lumina's case, only deepening his coldness.

What Floyd does not know is that Lumina struck a deal with the Spirit of Gravenwood. In days, she will take the Spirit's place and marry another man. So when he braces for her usual tantrum, she only bows her head and agrees, leaving him stunned and uneasy.

Raised in the Stuart family after her parents died, Lumina once guarded her engagement fiercely. Now, as Floyd shoves her aside to catch a falling Tracie, the wedding no longer matters to her at all.
