Protect Him? Then Face Me

Elias Vance's private museum is robbed, and as his security system closes in on the intruder, his wife and personal bodyguard, Isla, throws herself in front of the thief. She grew up with Julian, she says, and cannot watch him die. She fights off a hundred guards, then presses a shard of porcelain to Elias's throat and forces him to clear a path.

Elias raised Isla from the brink of death, hiring the world's top trainers to teach her to fight. Now the skills meant to protect him shield another man. She drags him to a waiting car, and as she escapes, a guard's knife slices both her legs. She calls the wounds repayment for the life he saved, then vanishes.

An anonymous video shows Julian tending her wounds and kissing her. Elias launches a global manhunt that leads to an ancient seaside manor in Europe, where Isla is about to marry Julian. Elias crashes the ceremony and exposes her marriage, but Isla stands between the two men once more, and Julian insists she only begged Elias for help because she had no other choice.
