I can hear my dog's inner thoughts.
While walking him, I suddenly heard: "Mom! Mom! Mom! Say the dog's name quickly!"
I yelled, "Buddy!"
Buddy turned around to look at me.
And turning with him was a gorgeous blonde guy.

At the beginning of the year, I visited a pet-friendly temple to pray for wealth.
The monk suddenly grabbed my arm. "Miss, you don't need to pray for money. Your fortune has already arrived."
I cleaned out my ear, utterly skeptical.
The monk explained, "You are destined for romance, and that romance is your wealth."
Twenty-five years of being single.
I always thought I was the main character, the lone wolf.
So I bowed to the monk and said, "No, thanks. I prefer to believe I control my own destiny, not fate."
After leaving the temple, something even stranger happened.
A voice, seemingly from nowhere, echoed in my mind.
"Mom won't date, and Mom won't find the dog a girlfriend either. But Mom gives the dog food, so Mom is good and bad at the same time."
I looked down.
Sure enough, Buddy was looking at me suspiciously.
I tentatively held my phone to my ear and asked, "Oh, they want me to take Buddy to be neutered? Today?"
Buddy always resisted going to the vet. Even now, hearing the word 'vet' would send him running away from me.
This time was no exception.
Even on a leash, Buddy lunged forward desperately.
"Mom must not take the dog to lose his balls! The dog still needs to sniff little Belle's butt next door!"
After confirming that I could actually hear Buddy’s thoughts, I bowed again toward the temple.
Then, unable to argue with Buddy, I let him pull me along.
It was hard to tell who was walking whom.
After a few minutes of running, Buddy suddenly stopped.
I heard again: "Mom! Mom! Mom! Say the dog's name quickly!"
I didn't understand, but I did as I was told.
"Buddy."
"Mom, louder! The dog can't hear you."
...
Ugh! This little menace!
Furious, I yelled out, "BUDDY!"
Buddy finally turned around.
And turning with him was a blonde heartthrob up ahead.
When I saw his face, I was slightly stunned.
He saw me, a look of surprise flashing across his face.
He actually walked toward me.
His voice was intense: "I don't know how you found out my nickname, but you'd better not tell anyone."
"If I find out one other person knows I'm called Buddy, I'll make you regret it."
Buddy chimed in: "The dog knows, but the dog isn't a person."
I looked at the handsome man, slightly embarrassed. "Maybe you should get up first? Stop kneeling on the sidewalk."
I had no idea what happened, but he had just suddenly dropped to his knees.
After much persuasion, he finally stood up. Then, to ensure my silence, he added me on social media.
Was all that really necessary?
His retreating steps were a little clumsy.
Maybe he'd been kneeling for too long.
For some reason, he looked vaguely familiar.
A gentle panting sigh reached my ear again. "Mom, the dog told you, if you ask someone for help, you need the right attitude. The dog used its head to hit his knees. The dog is awesome and protected Mom."
Huh?
I finally realized.
It wasn't that he wanted to kneel; he was physically forced.
