Love Vanishes, Emotion Dissipates

The day before her engagement to Joseph Field, Bianca learns he spent the evening with his first love, Holly Paul, in a private cinema. A video shows Joseph on a white round bed, telling Holly he has only ever loved her and that marrying Bianca was a temporary measure. When Bianca calls him, the phone is answered by Holly's moans, and a message from Holly warns her that she is merely his friend with benefits.

Bianca rushes to the hotel, where Joseph's friend Michael Bird tries to steer her away. She finds Joseph and Holly together; Joseph slaps her, Holly trips her, and Joseph presses her against the wall, threatening to cancel the engagement unless she apologizes. Bianca resolves to call off the engagement anyway, even knowing the gossip it will bring.

At home, Joseph's parents arrive and blame her, his mother praising Holly as gentler and more considerate.
